The Wellness Center provides outpatient addiction treatment programs that cater to those not needing a residential treatment program but still need primary treatment services.
Levels of programming include:
Partial Hospitalization Treatment - (ASAM Level II.5) is a daily scheduled program (which includes 20 hours of programming per week). This program is a customized treatment plan that includes Intensive Outpatient treatment groups and education plus an additional weekly multidisciplinary education schedule including living skills, Big Book Study, and the ABC’s of REBT (Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy). Education topics covered during the initial 4-6 week treatment program include additional sessions covering Communication, Stress/ Stress management, Forgiveness, REBT (Expanded model), Distress Tolerance (DBT), and Family Program.
Intensive Outpatient (ASAM Level II.1) meets 3 times per week for 3 hours per session and
Low- Intensity Outpatient (ASAM Level I.0) meets 1-2 times per week for 3 hour sessions. Adult day and evening groups are offered for primary and continuing care programming. These two levels of care are provided within the same group and with the same counselor allowing for a seamless transition from one level of care to another without interrupting the therapeutic relationship.
Clients will learn new coping skills, develop a personal recovery plan, identify personal relapse triggers, complete chemical dependency assignments, attend additional self help support groups and are encouraged to obtain a sponsor/mentor. Clients may then be transitioned into the relapse prevention and/or Continuing Care group for additional services depending upon the individual needs of each client. A Family Program is offered once per week where client’s family members gain support in addition to multiple family group education
sessions.
Adolescent services include Family group one time per week. A client will transition from
ASAM Level II.1 to a Level I within the same continuum of services for a seamless transition from one level of care to another providing the adolescent with consistent care throughout their treatment stay and the ability to maintain the crucial therapeutic relationship with their primary counselor. An adolescent can attend group sessions anywhere from 1 to 3 sessions per week for 3 hours per session allowing for primary treatment and relapse prevention/continuing care over an extended period.
Adolescents may also be transitioned into a separate Relapse Prevention Group for those with strong motivation to continue their services.
Relapse Prevention Group and Continuing Care (ASAM levels of care II.1 and I.0)
Clients attend either one 2 hour session per week or two 2 hour sessions depending upon the recommendations of their primary counselor and the treatment team. Adult day and evening groups are offered for primary and continuing care programming. Treatment plans can be tailored to each client’s individual needs and individuals can transition seamlessly between the two levels of care without interrupting the relationship with their primary counselor.
Service Coordination/ Case Management is for clients who need additional help in their lives in areas including but not limited to budgeting skills, housing, benefits applications, location and arrangement of Independent Living Skills Training, community living, and healthy living. A Wellness Center Services Coordinator will help clients in obtaining the above listed services.
For all programs and all levels of care clients are asked to attend self help support groups at least weekly (such as AA/NA, SMART Recovery or any other self-help support group approved by the client’s primary counselor) and are strongly encouraged to obtain a sponsor/mentor within their program. Each client participates in the development of an individualized treatment plan addressing their own individual issues
and level of readiness to change. Random Urinalysis Testing and Portable Breath Tests are provided throughout any of the treatment services provided. Progress reports are sent directly to the referent.
